April was a rollercoaster for me, but despite the challenges, it turned out to be a productive month. Here are a few things that inspired, intrigued, and motivated me through the daily grind. We gave April our all, so let’s make the most of May!

If you are ever on IG and are looking for some fly art, look no further than Mihailo Andic. I’ve been following Mihalo for a while, but his latest photoshoot with Damson was just too fire to not to post about. What I love about Mihailo is his mastery of expanding upon simple concepts. As a designer it’s taught me to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. If you love digital art, I would advise you to tap into his work. You won’t regret it.
Succession - Season 4
Succession is probably my second favorite show outside of The Wire. The writing and character development are always razor-sharp, leaving me always wanting more. So far, the latest and final season has inspired me to be a better professional. As I watch the three stooges fumble away their father's legacy, I ask myself, "How can I be more like Karl, Carolina, or Geri." Am I a professional or an actor? Am I putting in the work or faking the funk? These questions have fueled me to knuckle down and become a better artist. #TeamTom

Positive people inspire me. Ambitious people motivate me. Jesse is both. His Youtube channel is filled with tons of uplifting content for aspiring designers, but honestly, anyone looking to pursue a passion. What I appreciate most is the transparency and honesty he shares with his audience. It allows for a very sobering expectation of what it is like to live as a freelance professional in 2023. In an era where everybody is trying to sell you the dream of a shortcut, I appreciate this grounded approach to Jesse. Check out his latest vlog for comparison.
Shake Shack - Smoke Shack
While it may sound unusual, the Shake Shack Smoke Shack burger is a perfect example of the 3% approach coined by Virgil Abloh. This approach involves adding a personal twist to the classics to create a unique, fresh take on it. The Smoke Shack burger accomplishes this with the addition of cherry peppers, which provide a distinct flavor that sets it apart in the crowded burger market. It's a clever way to create an emotional connection with a beloved food while making it stand out.
League Fits
Inspiration is not a linear track. Painters aren't only inspired by painters, and designers aren't only motivated by designers. With that being said, League Fits is my shit, lol. This Instagram page is this weird amalgamation of things I thoroughly enjoy that keeps my creative gears grinding. If you're into basketball, fashion, and art, give this page a follow. You will either chuckle at some of the outlandish fits or find the missing link for your next big project. Sounds like a win-win to me.
